A longish ride down in near perfect conditions. The most memorable part of which was crossing a wide and deep ford at Little Lawford. It didn’t look that bad on the map, honest! Ian took the opportunity to demonstrate that Carnac shoes float. The hostel was real picture postcard stuff, a thatched cottage on the village green, with a wonderful garden. We were joined by other Derby riders on the Sunday for a local circular ride before we caught the train home from Rugby.
