At early May Bank Holiday 12 of us went to Parkend in The Forest of Dean for the weekend. We stopped at the The Fountain Inn Lodge from the Friday until Monday afternoon, eating in the pub on Friday and Saturday night and making our own communal supper on the Sunday. On the Saturday we did the 100km Lumpy Scrumpy audax. On the Sunday we rode over the Severn Bridge to do a gentler ride towards Slimbridge, stopping at Shepherds Patch for lunch, and on the Monday we did a morning run to Hay-on-Wye.
